Over 70 East Orange School District employees learned Wednesday night that they will be without a job effective Dec. 15.

The superintendent told them simply that there is no money to pay them, adding that the district only received $200,000 in state aid.

He says some of the district's biggest budget challenges are out-of-district tuition, food service and transportation, but the biggest challenge is salaries.
