John Hopefield, a professor emeritus at Princeton University, was awarded the Nobel Prize for physics.
The 91-year-old is highly respected on campus. There was a Zoom press conference on Tuesday to congratulate him. The students and faculty gave Hopefield a standing ovation.
Hopefield has been at Princeton for the last 27 years. He won the Nobel Prize for his work in machine learning and neuroscience.
