New Jersey Transit has stepped up to take over some of the DeCamp Bus Line routes to New York City that will soon end.
Starting on April 10, NJ Transit will pick up routes 66, 33 and 44 through Bergen and Essex counties.
NJ Transit joins Boxcar as the two bus lines pick up routes for DeCamp ahead of its shutdown.
Bloomfield Mayor Michael Venezia issued a statement declaring how important this decision is to his town.
"The loss of this bus route would have had a major impact on the lives of our residents, especially those who depend on it for reliable transportation to work, school, doctor's appointments, and many other essential destinations,” Venezia wrote in part.
DeCamp announced that it would be ending its service to Manhattan due to a decline in ridership since the COVID-19 pandemic.
