This year marks 50 years and record attendance of the Monmouth County Fair in Freehold.
More than 80,000 people have come out so far to the five-day fair.
Everything from food, rides, entertainment and music can be found at the East Freehold Showgrounds.
There are more than two dozen rides, 20 food trucks and over 50 vendors on site.
The fair honors the agricultural nature of a traditional county fair with its Home and Garden competition, petting zoo and 4-H animal shows and exhibits.
”We just like to keep things fresh…We started as a small little community outing in 1975 and since then we’ve continued to grow… I’d say there’s a lot of legacy and generational memories that are made here,” said Frank Masini, the Monmouth County Fair chair.
Organizers say work for next year’s fair starts on Monday.
