Testing set to take place in Keyport for possible cancer cluster connection

The Department of Environment Protection (DEP) will be testing wells at the old Aeromarine site, and the entire process will take about two months.

State Sen. Declan O'scanlon, Assemblywoman Victoria Flynn, and Assemblyman Gerry Scharfenberger confirmed on Tuesday that testing for a possible cancer cluster will take place in Keyport.

The Department of Environment Protection (DEP) will be testing wells at the old Aeromarine site, and the entire process will take about two months.

The process will include extra testing by a sampling company and by the DEP.

Additional details will be provided to residents at the Keyport Town Hall meeting on Sunday May 17 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
