Milford fire officials said a hazmat incident happened on Leighton Road on Thursday.

Officials said a tractor-trailer reported a leak of anhydrous ammonia.

They say the truck driver noticed the leak after the chemical compound was delivered to a facility.

Firefighters said It was a team effort to contain the product, dilute and transport it.

They said no injuries were reported, and evacuations were not necessary.
