The formative years of one of New Jersey's most iconic figures are coming to the silver screen this summer. A new biographical film titled "Tony" will chronicle the early life of the late chef, author, and world traveler Anthony Bourdain.

While Bourdain became a global sensation through his culinary expertise and storytelling, the film focuses on a pivotal moment in his youth. The story follows a 19-year-old Bourdain as he takes a summer job in Cape Cod, a period often credited with sparking his lifelong passion for the kitchen and the culinary arts.

Before he was a household name, Bourdain grew up in Leonia, New Jersey. His North Jersey roots and his transition from a suburban teenager to a professional chef serve as the backdrop for this anticipated project.

Fans won't have to wait long to see the "New Jersey legend" depicted on screen. "Tony" is officially scheduled for release this August.
