Several states are learning just how many Afghan refugees will be resettling in the United States.
According to U.S. officials, 37,000 will be in the first group of arrivals, with New Jersey getting 535 of them.
U.S. officials say many of the new evacuees requested to be resettled in certain states because they already have family or friends nearby.
