There is a FLOOD WATCH in effect for central and southern New Jersey for area flooding expected within storms later this afternoon and evening.
FORECAST:
High temperatures today should rise to nearly 90 degrees under a mostly sunny sky that gives way to increasing clouds. Storms develop into the early afternoon and evening, especially for southern New Jersey. These storms are expected to be strong to severe with damaging wind gusts and possible flooding.
Storms are expected by the beaches shortly after 3 p.m. as they turn severe. However, the first few storms may pop up near 1 p.m., likely over Burlington or Camden counties.
Ocean County will see the brunt of the nasty weather into the evening.
Rain showers move into northern areas overnight into tomorrow morning.
Tomorrow will be mostly cloudy, but still warm and muggy with highs in the mid-80s. There will be on-and-off showers all day.
Friday looks fair with a mix of sun and clouds. There can be a few sprinkles. Highs will be in the 80s again. The "Florida" weather pattern continues into the foreseeable future with sun, warmth and storms.
