The New Jersey Office of the Attorney General has released police bodycam video from a deadly police-involved shooting from last year.
The shooting happened at the Royal Albert’s Palace hotel in the Fords section of Woodbridge on June 12, 2024.
The videos released on Tuesday show three police officers as they encountered 46-year-old Karl Gregory. Police identified a vacant car related to a previous shooting in New York City.
When the officers went inside the hotel to inquire, Gregory exited the elevator and saw the officers. Officials say this is when Gregory pulled out a gun.
Two officers were injured in the shootout. Gregory died at the scene. A handgun located near him was recovered, according to officials.
The incident remains under investigation, according to the Attorney General’s Office.
