A 5-year-old girl is recovering after being shot inside a home in Perth Amboy.

Officers were called to the home on Cortlandt Street just after 11 p.m. Monday.

They found the child inside and rushed her to a hospital.

She is reported to be in stable condition.

The shooting remains under investigation.
