Prosecutor: Teacher’s aide accused of physically abusing toddler at Wayne school

A Passaic County teacher’s aide has been charged with abusing a child while in her care, according to the county prosecutor.
Meghan Hornridge, of River Edge, is accused of abusing a 2-year-old child at the Apple Montessori School in Wayne. Authorities say the 19-year-old injured the toddler when she slammed and dragged the child on Aug. 13, causing the child bodily injury.
Hornridge was charged with fourth-degree abuse of a child, simple assault and a disorderly persons offense.
