That may be the worst of it right now. But there are concerns in other parts of the state as well this morning. Now, we're going to continue our flood watch with news from New Jersey's Tony Caputo, Tony. Where exactly are you? And do you see a situation like Lauren is noticing there because it may get worse before it gets better. No, we've seen Raritan river similar to what she's seeing with the river in the northern part of our state. But most of what we've been seeing is slowly starting to recede here in the central part of our state. And that is certainly good news. As you take a look here at this roadway. This is uh South Randolph. Hi Road, right at Sydney Road in Piscataway. It had been closed throughout the morning because of that flooding. As you can see, there's a creek here or a brook rather that overflowed and where we're standing now, we could not stand this morning, but now we can, it's still blocked off. Obviously, it's still closed. But this has been the problem here in Middlesex County as we've been covering the various routes that commuters use to get to where they need to go in the morning. Now, let me give you a look at your road between North Branch River road and Campbell Court in Branchburg that was flooded earlier this morning. The bridge was obviously out again, the Raritan River, the concern there and when you stood or if you stood on an area of bridge that wasn't flooded, you would see a similar scene is what Lauren was showing up in North Jersey with that Raritan river, the north branch, the south branch, the river itself just really wreaking havoc in this part of our state. But fortunately, we are seeing some receding here and that is certainly good news. We'll continue to follow along on that. Hopefully, that will continue to be the case as skies start to clear a little bit as well. That is the latest from Piscataway Tony Caputo News. 12 New Jersey. All right. Well, many communities they're waking up again to these flooded homes. It's a huge issue. We're turning our attention now to news 12 New Jersey's Tony Caputo, Tony. Where are you? Uh just posting another tweet here folks and telling you what's going on where we are now in Branchburg. Uh We're right near the North branch NJ transit station. The train did just come through those tracks are high enough, so everything's fine with the trains, but obviously river road here flooded out. Now, this is the north branch of the rare river that you've been hearing, Mike talk about throughout the morning and the issues we're dealing with with the Raritan, whether it's the north branch, the south branch, the Raritan itself. It's just a problem throughout. As a matter of fact, I think we can make out a utility uh vehicle across the way. We just heard from uh Rebecca Mozzarella from PSE and G, I'm not sure I can't see with the naked eye exactly which truck that may be, but these crews are out here doing everything they can, but this is exactly which she was talking about that they may be trying to get somewhere and just like us in thunderbolt 12, they see a flooded road and they have to make their way around before they can get to where they need to be. So, we'll continue to bounce around here for you this morning. But again, this is going to be the case for quite some time this morning until this water recedes. Many waking up to flooding, not in their homes, just not just businesses but roads as well. We're gonna turn to news 12. New Jersey's Tony Caputo who's in Middlesex County right now, uh in uh right outside of thunderbolt, Tony. Where are you? Actually, we made our way. I believe the Somerset County at this point. We've been, we've been Middlesex Somerset Hunter and we've been bouncing around a thunderbolt 12 this morning because there's so many, unfortunately, uh flooded areas to tell you about. This is Old York Road between North Branch River Road and Campbell Court here in Branchburg. The Rare River is here. Mike was talking about uh the south fork of the Raritan and the north fork. This is basically where the Raritan, the north and south forks all meet. Now, the bridge is obviously out, the road is closed and as you can see by these closed gates, they're clearly accustomed to the flooding here apparently happens often when you have road closed gates, all ready to go in situations like this and these gates are indeed closed. Now, earlier in Piscataway, we had seen some other flooded areas. Possum Town Road between centennial and Third Avenues closed due to flooding as well. That's important because many use possum town road to access 287 in Piscataway. So until that recedes, that's going to be a detour and problem this morning. Now, the Sydney road at South Randolph Ville road in Piscataway was also closed because of flooding for both of those areas. The ambrose ambrose Brook runs through those areas. So that's causing the flooding in that part of our state. Meanwhile, in the Arbor section of Piscataway, power has been restored and roadways in that area have been reopened. So if you're in the Arbor section of Piscataway, just tuning in with us this morning. Welcome back. Glad you have your power back. Glad you're tuning in with us. And again, we are just making our way around different parts of Central Jersey right now because there are many areas that are flooded following last night's storm. Right now, many communities are waking up to flooded homes and streets. Our crews are working their way now to the hardest hit areas. News 12 New Jersey's Tony Caputo in Middlesex County right now. Now, Tony, you are in Piscataway. What are you seeing there? One of many locations from what we understand in this part of our state that has some flooded roadways. This is Sydney Road at South Randolph Ville Road and the Ambrose Creek runs adjacent to this area into a small lake. And again, you can see there's just too much for it to handle as all of that water has come across the roadway. The Skagway, uh DPW has blockades up and uh obviously no traffic coming through here. Now, look when we arrived this morning, we talked about where to go. This was one of several locations that we've been asked to check on. So you can bet regardless of what part of the state that you're in this morning, you're going to see similar situations like this. Now again, Sydney Road, South Randolph Ville Road in Piscataway, it is closed currently because of flooding. So if you usually use this roadway to get to where you're going. That may not be possible. We'll see if this, uh, kind of recedes over time here. Obviously, it will, may take a little while and it may be a headache for your morning commute to say the least.
