A disturbance call at the Fairways Apartment Complex in Blackwood led to the arrest of John Marchetti, Jr. on Monday, according to authorities.

Police say that when officers arrived, Marchetti allegedly became belligerent, yelling and lunging at them, resulting in a struggle.

Two officers were treated for injuries sustained during the altercation.

Marchetti was taken to a hospital for evaluation and is facing charges of aggravated assault on police, criminal mischief, and resisting arrest.
