A man was arrested Thursday for a hit-and-run that left a 19-year-old female injured in Jersey City, according to police.
Officers say the incident occurred before 3 a.m. Wednesday near Communipaw and Mercy avenues.
Mathew Small was apprehended that the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office in Secaucus.
Authorities say he is charged with leaving the scene of a motor vehicle collision, assault by auto and other offenses.
His first court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 30.
