Police in Newark say two men and a 15-year-old have been arrested while sleeping in a stolen vehicle.
According to police, Ahjhir K. Jones, 18, Sharieff N. Copeland, 26, and a 15-year-old male, all of Newark, were arrested in connection with a stolen vehicle and recovery of over 100 stolen vehicle key fobs on Jan. 19.
Police saw the three males sleeping in a stolen black 2015 Audi in the 100 block of Parker Street. The 15-year-old was in possession of the key fob for the Audi, stolen out of Car Revolution in Woodbridge, where 12 vehicles were stolen.
Police also located a stolen vehicle at Mapes and Weequahic avenues and a black Dodge Ram pick-up truck in the 300-block of South 12th Street.
The 15-year-old was also in possession of a key fob to the stolen vehicles. With consent of the Dodge Ram's owner, police searched the vehicle and located 139 key fobs stolen from Woodbridge Car Revolution.
They say the men stole cars from dealerships and tow companies. Officers also found a bolt cutter and a crowbar.
