NJ Transit: Man burned on railroad property in Newark, charged with trespassing

A man was burned Thursday while trespassing on railroad property in Newark, according to NJ Transit.
The incident happened around 2:30 a.m. near Roseville and Seventh avenues. According to NJ Transit, the man suffered third-degree burns to the chest. He was alert and conscious when he was taken to University Hospital.
NJ Transit says the man received a summons for trespassing and interfering with transportation.
