In Bridgeport, a man is in recovery after enduring an assault and sustaining two gunshot wounds.

The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the vicinity of Park and Shelton Streets.

Bridgeport police responded to reports of gunfire in the area. Upon arrival, they discovered multiple shell casings near the intersection.

Simultaneously, a man arrived at Bridgeport Hospital with two gunshot wounds to his hip.

While the individual is not cooperating with the police investigation, he is reported to be in stable condition.
