A 911 call reporting a burglary led to the arrest of five individuals in Wayne, but with a surprising twist: the caller was allegedly a suspect trying to turn in a competing burglary crew.
Police say two crews in separate cars attempted to steal packages on Ratzer Road last month.
One suspect allegedly pretended to be a homeowner, calling 911 to eliminate the competition.
However, the responding officer grew suspicious of both vehicles and made the arrests.
Charges are pending.
