Now that kids are back in school and buses are back on the road, safety becomes the priority.

News 12 New Jersey’s Tony Caputo is in Paterson getting ready for the start of the new school year.

Tony spoke with the superintendent of schools in Paterson about how we can help keep our children safe getting to and from their buses. Here are some tips:

Stop at least 25 feet from a bus with red lights;

Kids: Wait at the bus stop, away from the curb;

Parents: Get to know your school bus driver.
