After a fresh dusting of snow on Thursday, people jumped into the Atlantic Ocean at Asbury Park for a good cause.

The Sons of Ireland Polar Bear Plunge was held at The Berkley Hotel.

Proceeds benefited Hazlet's HOPE Network and The Samaritan Center at the Jersey Shore.

Temperatures on Thursday afternoon were only in the 20s, but with gusty winds, it felt like the teens and single digits.

The ocean temperature this time of the year is in the lower 40s.
