The Bronx Chamber of Commerce is kicking off World Cup fever early with the launch of its new Bronx World Cup Business Hub — a website designed to spotlight local businesses, attractions and visitor experiences ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The hub gives Bronx businesses a chance to promote their stores, events and special offers while encouraging visitors to explore everything the borough has to offer.

Chamber President Lisa Sorin says the World Cup presents a rare opportunity for the Bronx to showcase its culture, food and small businesses on a global stage.

"Look, the World Cup is a once in a lifetime opportunity for us. Let's use it to our benefit and let's showcase all the great stuff we have going on here," Sorin said.

Businesses participating in the hub are planning special events, menu deals and community experiences tied to the tournament. The chamber says the initiative will continue through the end of July as part of a broader marketing effort to attract visitors to the borough.

"We are marketing this right through the end of July to tell people we're going to give you more than just one reason to come into our beautiful borough," Sorin added.

The hub is also meant to serve as an easy promotional tool for small businesses looking to reach new customers during one of the world's biggest sporting events.

"This is a one-stop hub," Sorin said. "And what we're encouraging our businesses more than anything — use this opportunity to elevate your voice, your business, your products and get creative."

One of the participating businesses is The Alley Pizza Lounge. Owner Giacomo Anello says the initiative helps highlight the borough's culture and combat negative stereotypes often associated with the Bronx.

"I think what they're doing right now to highlight the World Cup is huge for us," Anello said. "The Bronx has such a deep culture, and it's hard sometimes for us to share it. People almost have the stigma against the Bronx, but we have so much to offer."
