A United Airlines flight was forced to make an emergency landing at Washington Dulles Airport Thursday after the crew encountered an unruly passenger.
United Airlines told News 12 that Flight 1551 landed safely Thursday night in Washington, D.C., "and was met by law enforcement to address an unruly passenger."
The flight left Newark at 6:46 p.m. bound for Guatemala City with 145 passengers and six crew members on board.
"The flight was canceled, with a replacement flight added for Friday morning, and customers were provided overnight accommodations," a spokesperson for United Airlines said.
No injuries to passengers or crew were reported.
