Sources say people saw the toddler opening and closing the window, just moments before he fell headfirst from the third story.
Neighbors say the child fell from a bed that was up against the window of his parents’ apartment on South Street in the city of Newburgh.

Sources say the child was then flown to Westchester Medical Center.
Neighbors told News 12 they are praying for the toddler and his family.
