Teachers nationwide now eligible for COVID-19 vaccine; CDC recommends masks, distancing for safe school reopening
Teachers nationwide are now eligible as of today to get vaccinated against COVID-19, but getting every student back in school five days a week is still a work in progress.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends strategies for a safe reopening, including masks, distancing, hand-washing, surface-cleaning, and ventilation.
“We were so pleased to hear President Biden say that we should prioritize educators,” says Becky Pringle, president of the National Education Association. "Most of our schools are already back to in-person learning."
