Could New Jersey hospitals be bringing back a mask mandate?
Cape Regional Medical Center in Cape May County says it is considering this after a drastic jump in COVID patients.
Hospital officials say that masks aren’t mandatory, but employees are wearing masks and are waking patients to do the same.
“This is all to protect our patients, visitors, and staff from illness. Each healthcare facility must assess their unique circumstances relative to how best to mitigate the spread of infection within their facility,” a spokesperson tells News 12.
It was not clear if other hospitals in the Garden State would be following suit.
