A group of student volunteers spent part of the weekend making their community safer.
About 30 students worked with Bloomfield officials to freshen up the paint on fire hydrants on three streets in the town in order to make sure that they are up to code.
They did this so that the hydrants are visible for firefighters, as well as for drivers who park on the streets.
The group ASEZ organized the effort. It is a global group of university student-volunteers.
