Fair weather anchored over the Northeast will continue to dominate the weather scene through the weekend. Rain chances are very low. The winds from the east will keep the heat at bay, but the summery mugginess will stick around.
Saturday is comfortable, with daytime highs in the mid-80s. On Sunday, the winds become a little more southwesterly. This will drag back that Carolina air and temperatures will warm back up to the upper 80s, possibly lower 90s.
Erin has now developed into a hurricane. The storm will likely continue to intensify on its westward track through the Atlantic. By early next week, a hard right turn will steer the storm up the East Coast.
While we do think Erin poses no direct threat to any East Coast towns or cities, the indirect impacts will be felt at the coast. The ocean is going to be very angry. Conditions could deteriorate as early as Tuesday night. Vacation plans to nearby beaches will have a hiccup when it comes to getting into the water. I won't be surprised if local beaches are closed for swimming because of how rough it will get.
