All eastbound lanes on Route 3 at Main Avenue in Clifton have reopened.
Crews had been milling and paving the area to repair damage from a tanker truck grease spill accident on Wednesday.
A dump truck then crashed in the same spot Thursday, spilling its load of gravel.
NJDOT says work continued through the morning commute, creating headaches for drivers.
