A 17-year-old girl is in the hospital after being hit by a school bus mirror.
The incident happened at around 8 a.m. in Fair Lawn.
Authorities say the bus driver saw the teen getting out of her car that was parked on the street, when she began walking in the roadway.
The school bus driver tried to alert the girl by honking the horn, but she didn’t move resulting in the sideview mirror hitting her.
Police say the victim was wearing AirPods at the time when she was hit.
The teen suffered injuries not considered life-threatening and, no one on the bus was hurt and no summons were issued.
