Two teens are facing charges for breaking into a Montclair home Wednesday morning and stealing a car.
Police say the suspects traveled to a residence on Highland Avenue in a 2019 Mercedes that had been stolen from Newark.
The duo used a crowbar to get inside the home and stole car keys they found inside. They drove off in a 2023 Audi SQ8 and left the stolen Mercedes behind, according to authorities.
Police say they contacted the homeowner, who was out of the country at the time. He checked surveillance footage and confirmed that his home had been burglarized and his car was taken.
Police say the suspects have been charged with burglary and car theft.
