Crews saved two dogs from a house fire Friday night in Belmar, according to authorities.
Officials say the flames broke out just before 7 p.m. inside the residence on Briarwood Road.
Firefighters found heavy smoke in the back of the home when they arrived.
One dog was trapped on the first floor and rescued after crews worked to control the flames.
The other was located outside of the house shortly after.
Both animals are safe, according to fire officials.
The cause of the blaze was not immediately clear.
