Law enforcement officials say that they will increase the police presence at a Morris County high school after two students were accused of bringing a gun to school.
The Morris County Prosecutor’s Office and Denville Police Department say officials were alerted that the pair may have had a firearm inside Morris Knolls High School. They were quickly identified, and the gun was secured.
The two students were arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a weapon. Their names and ages were not released since they are minors.
Officials say that there is no active threat to the school, staff or students, but additional police officers would be patrolling the school for the next few days as a precaution.
