An 11-year-old boy is in critical condition after he was stabbed in Jersey City.

Police say officers received a call Sunday evening that the boy had been stabbed multiple times. A woman at the scene was also found with injuries that did not appear to be life threatening.

One man was placed under arrest. He is facing assault and weapons charges.

Police say this was the result of a domestic violence situation.
