It's been more than 650 days since Ike arrived at Associated Humane Societies shelter in Newark, and he's still looking for his "furever" home.
Ike is a 4-year-old bulldog mix and is the longest resident at the AHS Newark shelter. Volunteers say he's friendly with other dogs and teenagers. He's well-behaved and trainable and volunteers describe his as being very affectionate. Ike loves treats and he will go to his new family already neutered.
Currently, Ike is the shelter's "Pet of the Week" and his adoption fee will be adjusted to what AHS calls the "name your price" fee, so that his new family can pay an adoption fee that's as much, or as little as they can afford.
