Roxy had a rough start, but this happy girl is eager to find a furever family despite the challenges she's faced.
Currently the longest resident at Best Friend Dog and Animal Adoption, Roxy was surrendered to a North Jersey shelter before being taken in by Best Friend.
"Roxy’s spirit is unbreakable, and her playful, loving nature shines brighter than ever," Best Friend says on its website when describing Roxy.
Volunteers say she's fun, confident, brave, curious, smart and affectionate. She loves running outside and playing fetch. Currently, she's working with trainers to learn some basic behaviors and commands.
"Roxy is a large and strong pup with a vibrant personality that’s impossible to resist. She’s a natural entertainer—funny, lively, and always ready to make you laugh," the rescue says.
Her ideal home is one with a family that's willing to provide her a loving, playful environment and a fenced-in yard. Although she tolerates other dogs, she would thrive as the only dog in the home. She is also best suited to a home with older children, due to her size.
