Deuce and his brother, Simba, have been waiting patiently for the perfect family.

For the past seven months, Deuce and his brother have lived at the Associated Humane Societies shelter. Although they've spent their entire lives together, volunteers say they can be adopted together or separately if a family is only able to take one pup.

Deuce is described by volunteers as being "very loving." The 8-year-old walks well on a leash and loves people. He's housebroken and energetic but also calm enough to just lounge around. AHS volunteers say Deuce loves affection and he's also good around other dogs.

According to AHS, since Deuce has been in the care of the shelter for more than 30 days, anyone wishing to give him a furever home will qualify for their $30 adoption promotion. The deal applies to pets that have been with AHS for 30 days or that weight over 30 pounds.
