With her bright eyes and big smile, Russia is popular among volunteers at Associated Humane Societies Tinton Falls shelter.
The playful 9-year-old was taken in by the shelter after one of her owners died and the other left the state. Since her arrival, Volunteers say she has made the most of shelter life and is always a "happy girl."
The perfect home for Russia would be one where she's the only pet. At about 74 pounds, she is approved for older kids, such as teenagers. She has been spayed. Volunteers say Russia "will make the perfect companion for someone who wants to take a few meandering walks a day and then snuggle on the couch and read a book or watch some TV."
Once she's done playing and has burned off some extra energy, Russia is pretty calm and relaxed.
Anyone interested in meeting and possibly adopting Russia can visit the AHS Tinton Falls website at tintonfallsahs@ahsppz.org or call us at 732-922-0100.
