The North American Aerospace Defense Command scrambled F-16 fighter jets on two separate occasions to intercept planes that violated a Temporary Flight Restriction in New Jersey Friday evening.
The restrictions were in place in the area surrounding Bedminster while President Donald Trump visits his golf resort.
NORAD officials say the two incidents occurred at 7:30 and 8 p.m. where the pilots of single-engine civilian aircrafts were not communicating with air traffic controllers.
Officials said that once NORAD responded to the area, the pilots “established positive communications with air traffic control and departed the restricted airspace.”
NORAD says that the instances were resolved without incident.
