Sugar cookies sold in tri-state Target stores recalled for potential wood contamination

The recalled cookies, the 10-count Favorite Day Bakery Frosted Sugar cookies, were produced in Canada.

Sugar cookies sold at Target stores in 20 states, including Connecticut, New Jersey and New York, have been recalled for potential wood contamination.

The recalled cookies, the 10-count Favorite Day Bakery Frosted Sugar cookies, were produced in Canada and distributed to Target stores. One of the distribution centers is located in Connecticut.

Target spokesperson released the following statement:

"At Target, we're committed to providing high quality and safe products for our guests. Following the voluntary recall initiated by Give and Go Prepared Food Corps, Target has removed all impacted Favorite Day Bakery Frosted Sugar Cookies, 10 count, from stores and online. If guests previously purchased these products, they can call Target Guest Relations at 1-800-440-0680 for a full refund."
