Crews are still working to fix a major water main break that has left thousands of residents across Paterson, Haledon, North Haledon and Prospect Park without water for four days.
The break happened early Friday morning near Hinchcliffe Stadium, where a 30-inch water main gave way. As of Monday, the leak remains uncontrolled.
The Pascack Valley Water Commission says it still cannot say when water service will be restored.
In Paterson, bottled water is being distributed and comfort stations are open at JFK High School from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. for showers and bathroom access.
Haledon officials report some residents have limited water pressure. Prospect Park is providing a 6,000-gallon tank daily for residents.
A boil water advisory remains in effect. Water used for drinking, cooking, or washing dishes must be boiled
