Big Apple Motorcycle School is unable to run it's training sessions at Heckscher State Park as it awaits the approval of a new contract between the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles and a national training program, Motorcycle Safety Foundation.
Big Apple's president, Diane Ortiz, says they would have trained and licensed over 100 people this year by now.
Their big concern is that new riders will become impatient and take their motorcycles on the road anyway, skipping the safety training.
News 12 contacted the state DMV, and it provided a list of licensed motorcycle schools, including Big Apple.
News 12 asked for additional information.
