New Jersey’s Lucy the Elephant ranks No. 1 must-see roadside attraction in the US

Here’s how the Jersey Shore attraction measures up against other national spots.

New Jersey is known to have a little bit of everything, from forests and beaches to urban cities as well. Now, a beloved roadside attraction is getting major props.
According to USA Today, Margate City's "Lucy the Elephant” takes the top spot for must-see roadside attractions in the U.S.
Known as the "world’s greatest elephant,” Lucy is one of the oldest roadside attractions in the country. Visitors can take their photo at the historical landmark for free and even take a paid, guided tour inside the giant elephant.

Also included in USA Today's top 10 list of best roadside attractions is Shealy's Official Skunk Ape Headquarters in Florida ranked at No. 2 and World's Largest Ball of Twine in Kansas rounds out the top 3.
