Jersey Proud: Senior citizens earn their degrees from NJ colleges

A 77-year-old man graduated from William Paterson University and a 72-year-old woman graduated from Montclair State University.

They say it is never too late to go back to school. Several senior citizens from the Garden State have proved just that.
Two thousand William Paterson University graduates filled the Prudential Center in Newark Wednesday morning. Only one of them was 77 years old.
James Schwartz got his degree in health studies. He is the oldest William Paterson graduate in at least 20 years.
Rosalyn Coppola, 72, graduated from Montclair State University. She received a degree in liberal studies. Coppola is a grandmother of four and took laces over five decades.
