There was a special birthday celebration at Mountainside Medical Center in Montclair this week. A nurse who once worked in the pediatric unit there returned to celebrate her 98th birthday.

Evelyn Carson worked at Mountainside from 1948 until 1962. She hadn’t been to the hospital in decades, but now she has received a full tour.

Carson told stories and relived a former chapter of her work life.
