A former employee of Thomas Jefferson Middle School in Fair Lawn has been accused of performing lewd acts inside the school while children were present.
John Stewart, 33, was working at the school when the incidents occurred on two separate days earlier this month.
Police say Stewart was touching himself during the acts. Investigators don't believe he approached any children, according to authorities.
School officials confirmed that Stewart is no longer employed at the school and the district is cooperating with police.
