Jersey Proud: Student gets accepted to prestigious ‘Wild Whales Voyage’ program

A junior at the Marine Academy of Science and Technology in Middletown is making New Jersey proud.

Cooper Pollack has received a full scholarship to participate in the prestigious “Wild Whales Voyage.” The three-week expedition accepts only six students from across the country each year.

Pollack will sail off the coast of British Columbia, where he will assist in field research focused on whales and porpoises.

The program combines sailing, snorkeling, hiking and environmental science education.
