Kiara Casteram, of Keansburg, Mia Esposito and Giovanna Rivera, of Manalapan and Erik Sanchez, of Long Branch, were the winning students.
They had to submit essays and letters of recommendation.
It’s part of a minor league initiative to embrace the culture of local Latino communities.
