There will be a lot of proud parents watching their daughters and sons get their university diplomas in the next few weeks.  

A family in Wayne will get to see a mother and daughter graduate together.  

Stani Haibi and Racha Ahmad, who are recent immigrants from Syria, will both graduate from William Paterson University.  

The mom and daughter enrolled together when they arrived in the United States.  

Mom studied accounting and her daughter studied political science and English literature. 

Both are graduating cum laude and are doing New Jersey Proud.
