Multiple food donation efforts have been held statewide as Thanksgiving approaches, including an event the last two nights in Washington Township, Gloucester County.
Customers at the ShopRite location also bought items for the donation.
Over $3,000 in donations were made on Wednesday night alone. They also filled the back of a pickup truck with turkeys.
Local police helped to organize the effort, but the residents stepped up to make it successful.
